Cat from the Cat trilogy by Joan D. Vinge.
YOU MUST READ THESE.

4. There is a short story somewhere called "Psiren." Bonus points for this one.

This is Cat from Catspaw, cuz he has that spikey hair. I drew it pretty big, I guess. It should probably be shorter, but I guess deep down I am a hardcore DBZ freak.

I'm halfway through catspaw right now and I had a moment to look and see if anyone had done some artwork, well I really love this picture of cat, its perfect. have you read joan d. vinges other novels The Snow Queen and The Summer Queen? If not, and you likes the psion novels, I definitely recommend them. If you like sci-fi space opera type books those are AMAZING! anyways like I said great drawing!

Oh yes, me too. The Cat books are the best thing since sliced bread.

To be quite honest, I didn't really love The Snow Queen all that much, but I went and read the sequels anyway, which I think are much better. I really love The Summer Queen. It's so very epic.

Hmm, really? I've only ever read the first one... It was good, but not as good as Cat. But maybe I should try out the rest! Anyway, great job with this pic!

It's soooo good to know that someone else also love this series. It absolutely great piece of cyberpunk ! And I like your version of Cat even if I picture him a bit differently.

Thanks! I was thinking of drawing a lot more of Cat and starting some sort of fan page. Joan D. Vinge is one of my all time favorite authors and I think she deserves a bigger online fanbase. Your art kicks ass, so you should draw some too! ^_^
